Illuminating the Creative Spirit

The INDIAN RIVER INSTITUTE for the CREATIVE ARTS ( IRICA ) provides financial assistance to gifted & talented individuals regardless of age, ethnicity, religion, gender, economic background or physical abilities by means of scholarships acquired through fundraising. These gifted students have the opportunity to receive extensive education in a wide range of artistic areas.

Bringing together the richness of our diverse community, students work in their chosen discipline - vocal and instrumental music, dance, musical theatre, drama, audio/visual recording, visual and graphic arts, ... with experienced educators. This team of educators shares years of professional performance and teaching experience to provide students with a positive environment in which to prepare themselves for interested areas of the Creative Arts.



Each students at IRICA has the opportunity for regular daily/weekly instruction in various Creative Arts realms in addition to training in his or her primary art interest. IRICA emphasizes a collaborative atmosphere that actively engages students in fundamental learning, development of technique and performance opportunities.

IRICA provides a nurturing and challenging environment that inspires its community of artists to achieve their artistic potential in a chosen discipline while expressing their creative spirit.

Presently, there are forty gifted students in the IRI program, many of whom are winners in the All State, All County and All Tri State instrumental and vocal competitions.
